桂柳运河与相思江

摘要

桂柳运河最初叫相思埭。它将相思江水一分为二，相背离去，如人远别，再难相见，故名“相思”。经考证，今“相思江”其实是明清时古运河航道的一部分，都以相同名字命名。现在看来这并不科学，可沿袭已久，俗定成真，也就没有必要改了，而且也很难改。这正好反映了历史对现实缓慢而又持久的深刻影响。%GuiLiu Canal was originally called Xiangsidai, which divides the Xiangsi River into two, flowing contrary to each other and never meeting again. Through the research, this"Xiangsi River"is actually part of the ancient canal waterway during the Ming and Qing dynasties, which got the same name then Now it doesn’t appear to be scientific. However, it has been followed for a long time. There is no need to change its name, and it is difficult to do so.
