This thesis aims to prove the effectiveness of the scaffolding approach in practical English writing compared with traditional teaching approach. The results of the study indicates that:(a) the writing scores received by the experimental group in the post-test are obviously higher than that in the pretest;there is a significant difference between them (P=0.000<0.01). However, for the scores of the control group, there is no obvious difference between post-test and pretest (P=0.059>0.05). Namely, scaffolding approach can arouse students’ interest and promote students’ ability of practical English writing.%本研究对传统的英语写作教学模式和支架式模式进行有效性对比研究。结果表明:实验组的前后测实用英语写作成绩有明显提高,并呈现非常显著性差异;而控制组前后测成绩并没有明显提高。证明支架式模式在促进英语应用文写作教学与激发学生的写作兴趣方面有很好的作用,能有效提高学生的写作质量。
