Tomato Tm-22 resistance gene confers durable resistance against tobamoviruses. The fact that Tm-22 gene can functionally expressed in Nicotiana tabaccum allows us through this system to get insight in the resistant mechanism of ROS during Tm-22 resistant response to ToMV. In our observation, ROS generation could be induced through exogenous ethylene application and ACC combination.
