A self - compiled questionnaire,out - of - school education investment for middle school students,were employed to investigate 223 middle school students (junior and senior middle schools re-spectively from 7 institutions or schools)with the intention to explore the relationship between out-of-school education investment and academic achievement.The results indicate that:(1)fathers’occupations definitely influence out-of- school education investment and academic achievement;(2)students mainly choose the subjects learned in school to study,particularly English and Math with the most financial in-vestment in English and the most time investment in Math;(3)out-of-school education investment in-fluences students’academic achievement.%采用自编家庭校外教育投入状况问卷,调查辽宁省辽阳市各地区223名中学生家庭校外教育状况与学业水平的关系。结果表明:(1)父亲的职业影响家庭校外教育投入和学生的学业成绩。(2)学生在进行校外教育时,以学校里的各科目学习为主,其中选择学习数学和英语的比例最高,尤其是英语。学生在英语学科上投入的财力最多,而在数学学科上投入的时间最多。(3)家庭校外教育影响学生学业水平。
