“神圣生命圈”思想在教育中的应用及启示-以加拿大奥斯卡雅克中学为例

         

摘要

“神圣生命圈”思想是加拿大土著人崇尚团结、平等与和谐的象征,他们相信,一切生灵都是相互依赖而存在的。这种思想被用到土著教育中,即把教育看成是人在身体、情感、智力、精神领域的全面发展,接受教育是一种自我建构和完善的过程。位于加拿大萨斯卡通市的奥斯卡雅克中学,成功地将“神圣生命圈”的精髓融入到学校教育之中,通过开展丰富多彩的救助与文化活动,向学生传授传统的道德与价值观,帮助他们提升民族自豪感和自信心,尤其在解决青少年毒瘾和酗酒方面,为其他学校和社区起到了示范作用。“神圣生命圈”思想,也为我国的基础教育改革提供了有益的启示。%The Sacred Circle is a cultural symbol of the Aboriginal people in Canada with the belief of unity, equity and harmony with the nature holding that everything coexist and is interdependent from each other in the education thought in the aboriginals emphasizing the wholeness and the unity, the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual development of each student. And education is regarded as a process of self-construction and self-perfection. Oskayak High School in Saskatoon succeeds in applying this value in principle by helping the students with drug and alcohol abuse which sets a good example for other schools and communities with similar problems and provide invaluable implications for the education reform in China.
