Gilman,Charlotte Perkins’s The Yellow Wallpaper in 1892 narrates a well-educated white woman suffered from postpartum depression is confined in a secluded room posted with yellow wallpaper by her husband for treatment only to go insane. Approaching the novel from the perspective of space theory,this essay holds that the novel represents the women fate through three types,namely,painting space,physical space and power space to question and subvert traditional order and phallo-centric values.%夏洛特·波金斯·吉尔曼1892年发表的短篇小说《黄色糊墙纸》,描写了一个接受过良好教育的白人妇女产后情绪低落,丈夫把她关在一个幽闭的贴满黄色壁纸的房子里接受治疗,随后女主人公产生幻觉而癫狂的故事。笔者以空间理论为视角,以空间方式诠释女性命运,从绘画空间、身体空间、权利空间三个“展区”来聚焦女主人公的命运,展现了女主人公在男权社会中的困境以及反抗和挣扎。
