From rich experience of our Party and himself, Mao Zedong proposes the vital and penetrating thought of " if you lack foresight you lack leadership" and "if you lack foresight you lack everything. " This not only illustrates the soul of Mao Zedong thought on leadership, but also profoundly reflects the necessary ability and personality of a Marxist leader. One of the key reasons for him to be foresighted in his leadership is his grasp of Marx- ism and his competence to analyze issues with this scientific world view and methodology. Simultaneously, he pays close attentions to both status quo and history. He is dexterous in pooling the wisdom of the masses and raising significant strategic questions from historical experience.
