《灿烂千阳》中玛丽雅姆的成长之旅--从成长小说的视角解读

摘要

卡勒德·胡赛尼的《灿烂千阳》讲述了两个普通阿富汗女性面对残酷的命运从失去自我到重拾生活希望的感人故事。借助文本细读的方式，通过对小说主人公之一从迷惘到顿悟的思想历程的叙事结构、成长仪式和成长引路人等方面进行分析，证明《灿烂千阳》主人公的年龄跨度虽超出了成长小说的一般年龄界限，仍是一部优秀的女性自我意识觉醒的成长小说，并指出主人公玛丽雅姆成为阿富汗千万妇女追求自我与渴望幸福的典型代表。%Khaled Hosseini's second novel A Thousand Splendid Suns tells a touching life story of two ordinary Af-ghan women experiencing from the loss of the self to the regain of the hope of life. This paper,by way of the close read-ing,focuses on the narrative structure from"confusion" to"epiphany",the growth rituals and the guide of growth of the protagonist,Mariam. Through the analysis,the conclusion can be drawn that although the life span of the protagonist goes beyond the general age limit of the initiation story,it is still an excellent story about the growth of the women's awakening of the self consciousness. Besides,it is pointed out that Mariam has been the representative of millions of Afghan women in pursuit of themselves and happiness.
