F·Scott Fitzgerald's research into the American dream is outstandingly expressed in his novels as well as systematically reflected in his short stories. Its realization signifies the obtainment, at least in theory, of material wealth combined with spiritual wealth. This mystifies the dream and exaggerates its motivating function in social development.
