保山宝莲寺《公举乡约碑》史料价值浅议

保山宝莲寺《公举乡约碑》极不起眼，但它揭示了史书、教科书所赞誉的清代乾隆四次征缅对永昌百姓的横征暴敛，有力地补充了现有史书、教科书的不足，还原了历史的真面目，同时廓清了保山个别碑刻的重大历史错误，值得我们认真保护。%The stele in Baolian Temple is insignificant for many people, yet it reveals the ruth-less taxation of Emperor Qianlong to the local community during his four expeditions to Myan-mar which leads to the death and homelessness of many people. It greatly replenishes the exist-ing historical textbooks and clarifies a great historical mistake. As a result, the stele in Baolian Temple should be protected carefully.
