徽州古建筑木雕装饰图案艺术是徽州民情、民俗的主要载体,具有浓郁的地域文化特色;题材多样,内容丰富,在雕刻技法、构图、造型、取景、表现形式、创作风格上有多样的表现形式及手法,使木雕装饰图案融装饰艺术与建筑结构于一炉,互为连缀,相得益彰,具有极高的艺术价值。%The art of woodcarving decorative patterns of Huizhou Architecture is a key carrier of the condition and tradi- tion of the people in Huizhou. It is with strong regional cultural features, which is verified in theme, and rich in contents. There exist varieties in carving methods, picture composition, modeling, image-eatching, manifestation and artistic styles. Thus, the art of woodearving decorative patterns has been connected with building structures, both of which are beneficial to each other. It is of great artistic value.
