Ribosome-inactivating proteins (RIPs)have been known to have cytotoxic activity by cleaving a specific adenine residue of 28S rRNA. RIPs can be divided into, type 1 and type 2. Type 2 is a toxic protein that was consisted of two Gal/GalNAc-binding chains, A and B Chains that connected through a disulfide linkage.
