银座炼瓦街a是明治初期在文明开化的风潮中诞生于首都东京的近代日本最早的西式街区，在率先引入及传播近代西方的科学技术、自由民主思想、风俗习惯等方面发挥了重要的作用，成为当时东京集中展示和传播近代西方文化的一个独特空间，引领着东京的文明开化风潮。%Ginza Brick Town is the earliest western-style street settings in Tokyo in modern Japan which emerged with the process of civilization in Meiji Period. It played an indispensible role in spreading western science and technology, conception of democracy, and customs in Japan, and once became the mirror of western way of life in Tokyo, accelerating Tokyo’s process of civilization.
