该文将建筑装饰分为三个层次:第一层次是实用的需求,第二层次是审美的表达,第三层次是意义的承载.这三个方面的层次结构包含各自的内容,并呈理出由低到高递进的关系.首先,文章通过中国建筑装饰和西方建筑装饰的起源论证实用的需要为人类建造活动的第一要素,其他层次均是在此基础上进一步发展的观点.其次,通过审美主体和客体、中西方对美的认识的阐述,说明审美是高层次的精神需要.最后通过中西方建筑及其装饰的意义的阐释,论述意义的承载是建筑装饰层次结构中最深层最核心的部分.%The paper concludes three hierarchies with regards to the architectural decoration: need of utility, expression of estheticism and carrying of meanings. Three hierarchies have their own contents and relate to each other from low to high principle. Firstly, the article demonstrates that the need of utility is the first elements of human construction activities and the base of further levels by taking the example of the origin of Chinese and Western architectural decoration. Secondly, the paper illustrates the aesthetic subject and object, and both Chinese and Western understanding of beauty, indicating that aesthetic is the high-level spiritual need. Finally, the paper shows that meanings are the deepest level and the core in hierarchy of the architectural decoration.
