Vehicle emissions have become a major source of air pollution. Motor vehicle periodic inspection is an effective means of pollution control. Aimed at the status and dispute of periodic inspection and management of Nanjing vehicle for environmental protection, from the vehicle inspection standards and related laws and regulations, the necessary and mandatory of periodic inspection of vehicle exhaust pollution was elaborated.%机动车尾气排放已成为大中城市空气污染的主要来源,环保定期检验是机动车污染防治的有效手段之一.针对南京市机动车环保定期检验的现状及管理中存在的争议,从相关车辆检验标准及法律法规分析,阐述了机动车排气污染定期检验的必要性和强制性.
