Ceramics were prepared from adding fixed content of steel slag with variable contents of tailing and other auxiliary materials.Sintering process and the microstructure and properties of the sin -tered specimens were investigated.Results show that when adding 10% ~40% amount of tailing,qualified steel slag -tailing ceramics could be obtained, and the sintering temperature of the materialsdecreased as the tailing added in increased.It is evidenced that the most appropriate adding amount oftailing was 20% and the firing temperature ranged from 1105℃ to 1130 ℃.Bending strength of thespecimens reached the largest value of 69.4MPa, which was twice larger than the value of the nationalstandard of the ceramic bending strength , moreover, the firing temperature decreased by 100℃ comparingto the traditional firing method.The novel approach may help obtain well performed ceramics withlower energy consumption.%选用定量的钢渣,添加不同含量的铁尾矿及其他辅料制备陶瓷材料,并对其烧结过程和产品结构、性能进行了研究。研究表明,尾矿添加量为10%~40%能够制备出合格的钢渣-尾矿陶瓷材料,尾矿最适宜的添加量为20%,此时试样的烧成区间为1105~1130℃,制备的样品最高抗折强度达到69.4 MPa,样品的烧结温度低于传统陶瓷烧成温度100℃左右,而强度接近国家标准的2倍,不仅能够实现陶瓷的节能制备,还能获得高性能的陶瓷产品。
