日本公立小学英语教育的兴起与发展、英语教育的理念，以及文部科学省为开设小学英语教育所做的近20年准备工作对我国小学英语教育具有借鉴意义。未来我国小学英语教育应更加关注以下几个方面：加强小学英语教师对英语课程标准的理解；重新探讨培养学生文化意识的内涵；注重英语教育与其他学科融合；注重校本课程建设，促进小学英语教师专业化发展；加强中国教师和外籍教师的合作和交流。%The development and the belives of English language education in public primary schools in Japan and the efforts of Ministry of Education for English language education in the last 20 years has great signigicance for primary Engligh education in China. Thus, we should pay more attention to the following aspects： reinforcing teachers＇ comprehension tO English curriculum standards; reexploring the connotation of cultivating students＇ cultural awareness; attaching importance to the integration of Engligh with other subjects ; caring for the school-based curriculum construction to promote primary English teachers＇professional development; strengthening the the cooperation and communication between Chinese and foreign teachers.
