Objective To assess the significance of low-dose fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) PET/CT for screening of malignant tumors during physical examination. Methods We reviewed the clinical profiles of 469 individuals who received health check-up with 18F-FDG PET/CT.This entailed comparison with the findings during follow-up visits between September 2010 and October 2012.Results Thirteen patients with malignant tumors were identified by 18F-FDG PET/CT,of whom 8 had pulmonary carcinoma, and a single case with thyroid cancer, cardiac carcinoma, ovarian cancer, ascending colon cancer and renal cancer, respectively.Except for 2 cases with bronchoalveolar carcinoma,1 with neuroendocrine carcinoma and 1 with renal carcinoma judged to be false negative, all miscellaneous cases yielded an increased metabolism of 18F-FDG.Conclusion Low-dose PET/CT is safe and significant for screening of malignancy in physical examination.%目的 评价低剂量18F-氟代脱氧葡萄糖(18F-FDG) PET/CT在体检中发现恶性肿瘤的意义.
