The Center for Taiwan Traditional Arts is located at the downstream bank of the Dongshan River, Yilan County, adjunct to the state level express way. On the other side of the river is the world famous Dongshan River Park. The Center is an important base for traditional art preservation, research, development, teaching, and performance. Though utilizing the ecological techniques and emphasizing on site groundwater and surface water recycling and retaining, EDS reproduce the scene of the original forest. The project follows the traits of the site and the local pattern language to create a new village, successfully strengthens the sense of place, and creates a poetic learning environment.%台湾传统艺术中心位于宜兰县五结乡冬山河下游与台2线省道之间,面积约24hm2,西南方隔冬山河与国际闻名的冬山河亲水公园相望,为推动传统艺术的维护、研究、发展、传习及展演的重要基地.从对宜兰地方环境特质的深刻体验与了解出发,延续先期细部规划的空间语汇要求,以生态地景景观设计手法,进行重现兰阳平原原生林相的营造及着重地表水系循环、涵养的整地工程,追求宜兰地方感的生成,并强调经营具有诗意的技艺传承生活环境的塑造.
