103位院士签名赞同“双国花”(梅花、牡丹)——这一创举对我国评选国花现状说明了什么?

国花是被选作一国表征的花卉(树木),用以反映人民的传统感情.当前,我国是世界上唯一尚未确认国花的大国.国花问题业经将近30年的争论后,目前尚存在工作路线与认识上的分歧.近年103位院士亲笔签名,赞成以梅花和牡丹为中国的双国花.这是一池浑水中涌现的清泉,是饶有方向性和群众性的创举,值得有关方面予以足够的重视.%The national flower is the flower (or tree) chosen as the characterization of a country, to reflect the traditional feelings of the people. At present China is the only major country that has not yet confirmed the national flower. The present status concerning the problem of evaluation and selecting Chinese national flower is somewhat downcast and serious, after 30 years of arguments. Nevertheless, 103 academicians signed and agreed the double national flowers proposal (Prunus mume and Paeonia sufrhiticosa) in recent years. It should be considered as an important stepping stone in solving the national flower problem for China.
