AIM:To investigate the relationship between astrocytes and endothelin-1 and their role in intracerebral hemorrhage. METHODS:The level of expression of endothelin-1 in reactive perihematoma astrocytes in postmortem brain tissues from patients suffered intracerebral hemorrhage was measured using immunohistochemistry. RESULTS:It was found in the brain tissues taken from patients with intracerebral hemorrhage increased number of perihematoma astrocytes that were hypertrophic and endothelin-1 positive,while they were in normal size and almost endothelin-1 negative in the postmortem brain tissues from control subjects. CONCLUSION: Endothelin-1 and reactive astrocytes play an important role in the pathophysiology of intracerebral hemorrhage.%目的:探讨内皮素-1与星形细胞之间相互关系及其在脑出血的作用. 方法:采用内皮素-1抗体 SP免疫组化技术对脑出血患者尸检材料血肿周围脑组织反应性星形细胞内皮素-1表达水平进行检测. 结果:发现脑出血组反应性星形细胞增生、肥大变性,存在内皮素-1的表达,而对照组星形细胞形态基本正常,偶见阳性. 结论:内皮素-1及反应性星形细胞可能参与脑出血的病理机制.
