The present invention relates to a device for detecting a hematoma in brain tissue. The device includes an elongated probe equipped with a color sensor and a light source, the light source being at the distal end of the probe. The color sensor emits a signal corresponding to the characteristics of the light reflected toward the color sensor. The detected color is displayed on the display.
