@@ Kruppel-like factors(KLFs) are a subclass of the zinc finger family of DNA-binding transcription factors. The nomenclature is based on the homology to the DNA-binding domain of the drosophila protein kruppel. To date,17 members of KLF family have been identified in mammalian cells.
