Nine children with severe clubfoot were treated by Ilizarov's technique combined with some other operations on the tarsal bones from 1989 to 1994.There were congenital clubfoot in 4，post-traumatic clubfoot 1，paralytic clubfoot 2 and recurrent clubfoot 2.Their ages ranged 4 ～13 years. Average time of follow-up after initial procedure was 2.5 years. The deformed feet were markedly improved without severe complications in the course of treatment. This method is significantly different from traditional ones. The ankle and foot deformities can be corrected completely in three-dimension by the forces of the puiling-pushing mechanisms. The distance between the ring assemblies can be adjusted by regulating the nuts on the thread rods.%采用伊氏外固定器结合手术治疗先天性马蹄内翻足4例,神经麻痹性马蹄足2例,马蹄足术后复发2例,外伤后马蹄足1例.年龄4～13岁.经1～4年随访,足外形、足负重力线达到或接近正常足,Kite角改变＞50%,无严重并发症.其特点是通过对伊氏外固定器调整,能够三维地延长、压缩、扭转各部件间距,从而矫正畸形足的内翻、内收、下垂及小足畸形.具有缓慢持续的逐渐矫形,不影响生长中足的发育,有延长足的效应,且操作简便.治疗期间可随时下地负重、走路、进行功能锻炼.此法更适应于大年龄儿童或其它手术方法失败的患儿.
