Objective To evaluate the effect of Chinese herbal compound Warming Yang and Replenishing Qi on cytokines in allergic rhinitis patients with syndrome of deficiency-cold of spleen and lung. Methods Forty patients with allergic rhinitis who met the inclusion criteria and 5 healthy control subjects were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into two groups with 20 cases each, giving the 4 weeks' treatment of Chinese herbal compound Warming Yang and Replenishing Qi or Cetirizine. IL-4, IL-5 and IFN-γ levels in the supematants of PBMC culture were measured and compared before and after treatments in both groups. Results There were significant differences in IL-4 and IFN-y levels before and after treatments (P<0.01), but not IL-5 levels (P>0.05) in both treatment groups. No significant differences were found in IL-4 , IL-5 and IFN-y levels between Chinese herbal group and Cetirizine group whether before or after treatments (P>0.05). Conclusions Chinese herbal compound Warming Yang and Replenishing Qi is effective in the treatment of allergic rhinitis with syndrome of deficient-cold of spleen and lung.%目的 评价益气温阳方治疗变应性鼻炎肺脾虚寒证对细胞因子的影响.方法 选择符合纳入标准的观察对象40例,并选取5例正常健康者作空白对照.中药组20例口服益气温阳方,西药组20例口服西替利嗪,治疗4周.测定变应性鼻炎肺脾虚寒证患者治疗前后外周血单个核细胞(PBMC)培养上清中的IL-4、IL-5和IFN-γ水平,并采用自身前后比较法及组间对照比较法进行分析.结果 两治疗组患者PBMC培养上清中的IL-4、IFN-γ水平在治疗前后相比差异均有统计学意义(P＜0.01),而IL-5水平的差异则无统计学意义(P＞0.05).中药组患者治疗前后PBMC培养上清中的IL-4、IL-5和IFN-γ水平与西药组对比,差异均无统计学意义(P＞0.05).结论 益气温阳方是治疗变应性鼻炎肺脾虚寒证的有效方剂.
