This article focuses on the research on Neurod1’s roles in the development of sensory neurons and hair cells in the inner ear. Neurod1 is an important member of the bHLH transcription factors family. It promotes differentiation of neuro⁃nal precursor cells into neurons. In the inner ear, Neurod1 is mainly expressed on sensory neurons and part of the sensory epi⁃thelium. Conditional Neurod1 knockout mice exhibit hearing and balance disorders, with significant loss of sensory neurons in the inner ear and defects of both afferent and efferent nerves. Ectopic hair cells can also appear in the spiral ganglion in condi⁃tional Neurod1 knockout mice. In the process of inner ear development, Neurod1 interacts with multiple genes including Neu⁃rog1, Atoh1, Sox2 and Nhlh1.%本文主要介绍了Neurod1在内耳感觉神经元及毛细胞发育中的相关研究。Neurod1是bHLH转录因子家族中的重要一员,它能促进感觉神经元前体细胞分化为成熟感觉神经元细胞。在内耳中,Neurod1主要表达于感觉神经元细胞,部分感觉上皮也有表达。Neurod1基因条件性敲除小鼠可出现听力及平衡障碍,其内耳感觉神经元细胞大量缺失,同时内耳中的传入及传出神经也存在缺陷。Neurod1基因敲除小鼠螺旋神经节中还可出现异位毛细胞的生长。在内耳发育过程中,Neurod1基因与多种基因相互调控,协同促进内耳发育成熟。如Neurog1、Atoh1、Sox2、Nhlh1等。
