Objective: To evaluate the effects of gelatin sponge on wound healing and short term aesthetics of single anterior maxilla immediate dental implant. Methods: 26 cases in immediate implant were randomly divided into two groups,experimental group of 13 patients with 15 implants (2 cases 2 teeth, 11 teeth in each of 11 cases), control group of 14 patients with 15 implants (1 cases 2 teeth, 13 teeth in each of 13 cases). All implants were parallel placed near the palatal side using immediate flapless with small diameter implant and GBR at the same period. All wounds were satured without labial sliding flap, only open suture labial and palatal gingiva. The experimental group was treated with gelatin sponge to close the wound, the control group didn't put any material. Remove the sutures after 14 days. To evelueate the wound healing at suture removal , and pink esthetic score(PES) at 3, 6 ,9 months after permanent restoration. Results: The wound excellent healing implants were 14 (14/15) in experimental group, 9(9/15) in control group when remove the sutures, the wound healing good in experimental group than control (P<0.05). PES at 3, 6, 9 months after permanent restoration were 9.47±1.807, 9.00±1.964 and 9.33 ±1.988, while the control group were 7.60 ±1.844, 6.60 ±1.765 and 6.67 ±2.093 respectively. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.01) at the same time between groups. Conclusion:On the wound healing of anterior maxillary teeth with immediate implants, gelatin sponge has stimulative effects, and has recent good results of PES.%目的：探讨明胶海绵在上前牙即刻种植中对伤口愈合和近期美学效果的作用。方法：将26例上前牙即刻种植病例随机分为两组，试验组13例共15枚种植体（2例各2枚，11例各11枚），对照组14例共15枚种植体（1例2枚，13例各13枚），采用不翻瓣即刻种植术，所有病例用小直径种植体偏腭侧种植，并作同期唇侧GBR，两组病例均不作唇侧瓣滑行，试验组用明胶海绵封闭创口，而对照组不放任何材料，唇腭侧附着龈对拉缝合，14天拆线。观察拆线时的各种植牙区伤口情况和修复后3、6、9个月各种植牙的红色美学效果。结果：拆线时伤口愈合达到优良的，试验组和对照组分别为14例和9例，试验组伤口要较对照组为好（P<0.05）；修复后3、6、9个月的红色美学指数，试验组分别为9.47±1.807、9.00±1.964和9.33±1.988，而对照组分别为7.60±1.844、6.60±1.765和6.67±2.093，同一时间组间对照，统计学上有显著性差异（P<0.01）。结论：明胶海绵对上前牙即刻种植的创口愈合有促进作用，且有较好近期的红色美学效果。
