Objective To explore the value of Samsung Medical Center (SMC) grading system in preoperative evaluation for hemifacial spasm patients. Methods Clinical data of 46 patients with hemifacial spasm were analyzed respectively, who received microvascular decompression. The SMC grading system was used before surgery, and the nerve indentation and distribution of offending vessels were recorded during the surgery. Results SMC grade was positively correlated with nerve indentation (r=0.53, P<0.01). Higher SMC grade was closely related to more offending vessels. Conclusions SMC grading is an effective and safe predictive method for hemifacial spasm and of a certain reference value for the surgeons.%目的:探讨SMC (Samsung Medical Center)评分系统在面肌痉挛(HFS)病人术前评估的价值。
