Some Key Problems and Thinkings on Gerontological Study in China

摘要

The coming age wave has been a major concern of the society. As it was said in adage that “One should think about old during young”, any one, however, will think in spare time on “How many years are left?” As for the academic circle of gerontology, more contributions to the senior citizens who make up 10% of the total population, also to the people who are going forth to the aged should be put in consideration. Problems of various disciplines are involved there among, demographic and sociologic, also those of natural sciences and specific medical sciences. Furthermore, it is also an issue of global concern that requires global strategic planning.
