A new nickel(Ⅱ) coordination compound [Ni(L2-)(2,2'-bipy)(H2O)]· 2H2O (H2L=phenyliminodiacetic acid)water and ethanol (V:V=1:1). The complex was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and X-ray crys-tallography analysis. The crystal is monoclinic, space group P21/c with a=0.867 4(2) nm, b=0.907 3(1) nm, c=In the complex, nickel (Ⅱ) atom is coordinated with a distorted octahedral geometry and extensive hydrogen bondslink the complexes into a 2D network structure.
