Objective To investigate the relationship between level of serum ferritin and pre-diabetes stage.Methods 106 subjects were divided into two groups according to the fasting glucose,i.e. pre-diabetes group with 55 subjects and control group with 51 subjects. The indicators such as age, sex,body mass index, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglyeeride, ferritin, C-reactive protein and white blood count were compared between the two groups, and correlation analysis was performed. Results ( 1 ) Pre-diabetes Group the level of serum ferritin is obviously higher than Control Group ( 118 m 12 Iμg/L vs 62 ± 5.9 μg/L, P ＜ 0. O1 ). ( 2 ) A positive correlation was found between fasting glucose and serum ferritin ( r = 0.30, P ＜ O. O1 ). (3) The odds ratio for the association of Pre-diabetes Group in male subjects with a high serum ferritin level than females. (4) Multiple regression analysis, showed that there was an association between serum ferritin and fasting glucose ( r: 0.30, P ＜ 0.01 ), blood pressure ( r = O. 16,P ＜ O. O1 ), triglyceride ( r = 0.09, P ＜ 0. O1 ) and cholesterol ( r = 0.07, P ＜ O. 05 ). but there was no obvious correlationship with BMI ( r = O. 06,P ＞ O. 05 ). Conclusion The increased serum ferritin level is a risk factor of diabetes. Detecting the serum ferritin detection may help us find potential patients for diabetes.%目的 探讨血清铁蛋白水平与糖尿病前期状态的相关性.方法 106例受试者按照空腹血糖水平分为糖尿病前期组55例与健康对照组51例,对两组间年龄、性别、体质量指数、血压、血清总胆固醇、三酰甘油、血清铁蛋白、C反应蛋白、白细胞计数等指标进行相关分析.结果 (1)糖尿病前期组中血清铁蛋白水平明显高于健康对照组[(118±12)μg/L vs.(62±5.9)μg/L,P＜0.01];(2)血清铁蛋白水平和空腹血糖浓度呈正相关(r=0.30,P＜0.01);(3)糖尿病前期组血清铁蛋白水平升高发生糖尿病的相对危险度增加,且男性高于女性;(4)多元回归分析显示:糖尿病前期组的血清铁蛋白水平和空腹血糖(r=0.30,P＜0.01),血压(r=0.16,P＜0.01),三酰甘油(r=0.09,P＜0.01),总胆固醇(r=0.07,P＜0.05)均明显相关,但与体质量指数(BMI)无明显相关(r=0.06,P＞0.05).结论 血清铁蛋白水平升高是糖尿病风险的预测因子,检测血清铁蛋白水平,有助于更早发现潜在危险糖尿病患者.
