Objective: To study the toxicological effects and mechanisms of the p-MWCNTs and tau-MWCNTs on macrophages in vitro. Methods: We focused on their effects on ultrastructural changes in cell morphology, LDH release, the release of turnour necrosis factor (TNF)-α, as well as annexin V/PI staining. Results: Exposure of RAW264. 7 macrophages to pMWCNTs at a high dosage induced cellular apoptosis, and an increase in LDH release and TNF-α. Whereas tau-MWCNTs had only very limited impact on cellular toxicity and apoptosis. Conclusion: Our results imply that the tau-MWCNTs should be used for biological or medical purposes without affecting the cell viability.%目的:研究多壁碳纳米管(p-MWCNTs)与牛磺酸修饰的多壁碳钠米管(tau-MWCNTs)在体外对小鼠的单核巨噬细胞RAW264.7细胞的毒性作用.方法:p-MWCNTs与tau-MWCNTs作用于RAW264.7细胞后,观察RAW264.7细胞乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)释放率、细胞形态、肿瘤坏死因子α(TNF-α)和凋亡情况.结果:P-MWCNTs可以使细胞的LDH释放率增高,诱发细胞发生凋亡,增加细胞内TNF-α释放,而即使高浓度的tau-MWCNTs对RAW264.7细胞也没有毒性作用.结论:tau-MWCNTs不影响细胞活力,它可以在生物与医学方面得到广泛的应用,
