Objective To understand the tooth loss condition and prosthodontics of elderly people in Urumqi and their oral health habits, preventing and controlling the oral diseases of the elderly population in our city, and educational administrative departments to carry out geriatric oral prevention and healthcare. Methods Used stratified random sampling method,in accordance with the WHO Oral health surveys: basic methods to complete the investigation and oral examination of 684 elderly cases those were above 60 years old from Urumqi City.The primary outcomes included tooth loses and prosthodontics. The data was statistically analyzed by SPSS21.0 software. Results Of all 684 the subjects, the rate of complete dentition, dentition defect,edentulous was8.92%, 76.32% 14.76%. 57.41% elderly people brushing times less than or equal to 1 time; 42.59%of the elderly daily brushing is greater than or equal to 2 times; 71.20% of the elderly brushing time is less than or equal to 2 minutes; 28.71% of the elderly brushing time is greater than or equal to 3 minutes. Among the 623 cases of missed teeth, the total number of non-repair were 388, accounted for 62.28%, and the total number of repair were about 235, accounted for 37.72%. Conclusion The oral health status of elders should be taken very importance inUrumqi. The elders should strengthen the oral health care and dental defects after the timely repair of oral health education, and encourage the lack of teeth to the formal oral care unit denture repair. Some efforts should be taken to improve the oral health and the quality of life of the elders%目的:了解乌鲁木齐市老年人的缺牙状况和口腔卫生习惯,对其口腔疾病患者进行防治,以及采取针对性措施改善老年人群口腔卫生健康状况.方法:采用分层、多阶段、随机抽样方法对乌鲁木齐市区684例60岁以上的老年人进行口腔健康状况检查并发放口腔卫生保健调查问卷,主要观察指标为牙列缺损及其修复情况.结果:684例调查对象中,8.92%的老年人牙列完整,76.32%的老年人牙列缺损,14.76%的老年人牙列缺失.57.41%的老年人刷牙次数小于或等于1次,42.59%的老年人每日刷牙大于或等于2次;71.20%的老年人每次刷牙时间小于或等于2min,28.71%的老年人每次刷牙时间大于或等于3min.牙齿缺失的623例调查者中,未修复人数合计388例,占62.28%;修复人数合计235例,占37.72%.结论:乌鲁木齐市老年人牙齿缺失率较高,应加强开展对其口腔卫生保健以及牙齿缺失后及时修复的口腔健康教育工作,鼓励缺失牙齿的老年人到正规口腔诊疗单位进行义齿修复,以改善老年人口腔健康状况,从而提升生活质量.
