2012年将迎来中国国家博物馆100周年，本文回顾了2003年以来国家博物馆所经历的发展历程。国家博物馆组建后，在“四个相称”建馆方向指引下，研究确定了“国内领先，国际一流”的建馆目标，提出了“人才立馆、藏品立馆、业务立馆、学术立馆”的办馆方针。遵循“历史与艺术并重”的发展定位，国家博物馆的新馆建设、文物藏品建设、国博特色的陈展体系建设、公众服务体系建设、安保体系建设和规章制度建设等方面取得了辉煌的成就，初步实现了“国内领先、国际一流”的建馆目标。%The year 2012 will witness the centennial of the National Museum of China （NMC）. After its founding in 2003, the NMC set up the objective to be ＂leading within China and first-class worldwide＂ and has been progressing since under the guiding principle ＂to be commensurate with four major standards＂. The museum develops based on ＂talents, collections, business, and academic researches＂ with emphasis both on history and art. The objective of the NMC now has been elementarily fulfilled with spectacular achievements in the construction of a new building, development of collections, and formation of a unique display system, public service system, security system, and rules＆ regulations.
