Guided by the turn-taking mechanics of the conversation analysis and with the aid of pragmatics and linguistic relevance theories, the paper aims to reveal the stylistic feature of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and how this kind of feature is conveyed, by means of analyzing a 3-minute movie clip from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The study points out that Monty Python and the Holy Grail succeeds in creating humor, which is conveyed by the ingenious designation of the dialogue, especialy in terms of adjacency pairs, interruption and so on. It is hoped that the current study would present a comprehensive and deep stylistic analysis of the movie and offer a useful tool as wel as a new perspective to appreciate current films.
