OBJECTIVE To guide the future study on treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by Chinese medicine, we analyzed the quality of papers on clinical studies about this kind of disease treated by Chinese medicine. METHODS Based on the evidence-based medicine, we used the computer to search both the Chinese and the English thesis database, focusing on the published papers about wet age -related macular degeneration treated by Chinese medicine published from Jan. 1994 to Nov. 2011, and we assessed the quality of these papers by descriptive analysis. RESULTS Seventy-eight papers in Chinese language were selected. Among the papers, only five had jaded score equal or higher than 3, 4 papers having score 3 and 1 paper having score 4 based on the Jadad method. CONCLUSIONS At present, most of the published papers about clinical studies on wet AMD treated by Chinese medicine are of poor quality, which means the reliability is low. RCT clinical study should be considered in the future research.%目的 对中医药治疗湿性年龄相关性黄斑变性的临床研究文献进行分析和质量评价,为指导中医药进一步治疗本病提供参考.方法 计算机检索中英文数据库,采用循证医学的方法,对1994年1月-2011年11月发表的中医药治疗湿性年龄相关性黄斑变性的临床研究文献进行描述性分析,对文献质量进行系统评价.结果 共筛选出78篇文献,均为中文,其中Jadad量表评分≥3分的文献有5篇,其中4篇分值为3,仅1篇文献分值为4分.结论 目前正式发表的中医药治疗湿性年龄相关性黄斑变性的临床研究文献质量较差,可信度不高,亟待采用大样本多中心随机对照的规范化研究加以证实.
