EPON is a high performance network technology , passive optical Gigabit Ethernet based on the real-ization of optical access network technology .It is easy to use and high bandwidth characteristics , and has char-acteristics of Ethernet and similar low cost .This paper describes the application of equipment on the EPON , starting with the specific case given the failure analysis .%EPON是当前一种性价比较高的网络技术，是基于吉比特的无源光的以太网实现光接入网的技术，具有易用性和高带宽特性，并且具有和以太网相似的低成本的特点。阐述EPON设备的实际应用，并对具体案例进行故障分析。
