STYRENE POLYMERIZATION BY OGANOLATHANIDE COMPLEXS(Bu^tCp)_2LnCH_3_2 (Ln=Pr,Nd,Gd)

             

摘要

Complexes(ButCp)1LmC1 react with LiCH3 in molar ratio of 1:1 to give theneutral methyl complexes[ButCp)2LnCH3]2 (Ln=Pr,Nd,Gd).The complexes alone showmodest catalytic activity for the polymerization of styrene.The polymerizationactivity depends markedly on lanthanide elements.The activity order is Na Pr Gd and the polymerization mechanism was proposed.
