[Objective]This study aimed to investigate whether the Jujun grass was suitable for the im-porting and large area planting in Hexi cold area by importing and planting Jujun Grass in Zhangye area and comparing the ecology,biological characteristics and the forage value of Jujun grass with corn and sor-ghum,which had good adaptability in Zhangye area.[Method]This study compared the field indexes and forage grass nutrition indicators among the Jujun grass,forage corn and sorghum to analysis of the three planting suitability.[Conclusion]The yield of single cut of Jujun Grass in Hexi cold area were higher than forage maize and sweet sorghum,and some nutrient content,for example,crude ash,crude protein and crude fat were higher than forage maize and sweet sorghum,except soluble sugar.%[目的]该试验通过在张掖市引进种植巨菌草,并与本地适应性较强的高产牧草饲用玉米和甜高粱在生态学、生物学特性以及饲用价值等方面进行对比,从而探究巨菌草是否适合河西冷凉区大面积推广种植。[方法]该试验将巨菌草和饲用玉米、甜高粱的田间指标和饲草营养指标相对比,进而分析三者种植的适宜性。[结论]巨菌草在河西冷凉区种植单茬产量较饲用玉米、甜高粱高,除可溶性糖外,粗灰分、粗蛋白、粗脂肪等营养成分均高于饲用玉米和甜高粱。
