加快形成长江三角洲都市经济圈及充分发挥上海的核心功能，不仅对于加快长 江三角洲地区经济的持续、快速、健康发展具有重要意义，而且也将对贯彻国家长江发展战 略和西部大开发战略起到积极推动作用。通过分析形成长江三角洲都市经济圈的理论基础和 主要发展思路，从区域经济协调发展的角度，提出上海作为该地区的首位城市，应当 在产业结构升级、区域要素市场培育、综合交通运输网构建及区域经济一体化服务建设等四 方面发挥核心城市的功能。%At present, we should speed up the formation and development of the Ya ngtze delta and fully play Shanghai's role in the region. Not only it is importa nt for the region to quicken its sustainable, fast and rational development of r egional economy, but also it will positively give impetus to the implement of th e two national strategies: the development of the Yangtze river and th e west of China. The paper analyses the theoretical foundation and main developm ent thinking of the Yangtze Delta Metropolis Economic Circle. And then, from th e viewpoint of coordinated development of regional economy, it puts forward that Shanghai, as a core city of the region, can play a very important role in the i mprovement and acceleration of industrial structure, the cultivation of regional market, the construction of the net of communication and transportation and the building of multiple service.
