Understanding Chinese engineering doctoral students in U.S.institutions: A personal epistemology perspective.Jiabin Zhu

         

摘要

Considering that "doctoral students" and "engineering" are tightly linked with innovation,these two phrases are attracting more attention than ever in this era of the knowledge economy.Engineering doctoral degree holders are expected to play more important roles than other groups in the 21st century.Prior epistemological research has revealed that knowing and knowledge are closely related to an individual's epistemology development.Regretfully,most of these findings have focused on Western populations,both children and young adult students.
