Among the Intra-Caribbean migration, it happens that the other Caribbean islands choose Puerto Rico as their destination country. This is because many Caribbean people link Puerto Rico with the United States. However, not everyone knows the relationship that both have and how it would benefit them if they settled in Puerto Rico. Some make the decision to stay, others used it in order to eventually go to the metropolis, but whatever the reason for which they migrated, they did so with the purpose of having a better life and progressing.The history between Cubans and Dominicans in Puerto Rico is well known. However, the history of Haitians in Puerto Rico is unknown. Through interviews in 2021, it was possible to know the perception of settlements of their own group. With the U. S. census tracts of 2010 (time 1) and 2019 (time 2) 5-year ACS, the geographical distribution of each one of the three groups is confirmed, including if there were any changes in their settlement patterns. Also, together with the demographic characteristics and the socioeconomic status of each group between both times, it is possible to explain why each of the three groups of immigrants changed to new areas. That is, it permitted speculation why the moves occurred.
