A study of the relationship between student and faculty satisfaction of service quality within Asia University in Taiwan.

The general problem was to examine the correlations between several aspects of faculty satisfaction and student satisfaction within a university setting in Taiwan universities. Two hundred (n = 200) students participated in Asia University and faculties (n = 36) who work in three different department, Department of Healthcare Administration, Leisure and Recreation Management, and Department of Business Management, in the Asia university. The questionnaire was conducted in the winter of 2008 in Asia University in Taiwan. The results of Multivariate Tests of Students satisfaction and faculty satisfaction study did not display statistical significant results (p > 0.05). Through MANOVA, the researcher discovered that there was no significant differences across subjects shown on four multivariate significance tests (Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda. Hotelling's Trace, Roy's Largest Root) all resulted in a p value over the 5% level. The value of Pearson's product moment correlation between the faculty satisfaction and three factors: how satisfied students are with faculty in their major area of study, reason of selecting school, how effective faculty members in their major area of study are in instilling a variety of characteristics into their students was r = 0.427; r = 0.822; r = 1.000 (p 0.05). In addition, the values of Pearson's product moment correlation among the four factors all have positive relationship (p 0.05). In addition, the researcher made some suggestion and recommendations for future researches to recommend the school and instructors should improve teaching efficiency and service quality for students.
