The purpose of this study was to explore the knowledge and use of anger management techniques with minority children and adolescents by MSW students in the Children, Youth, and Families concentration (CYF) at California State University, Long Beach. This descriptive, cross-sectional study employed a convenience sample of 43 students currently enrolled in the MSW program.;The results of this study indicated that the majority of MSW students had knowledge and use of anger management techniques with clients. Also, a majority of MSW students reported that they used anger management techniques with minority clients. Most of the MSW students indicated that they used anger management techniques with two or three of the following populations: children, youth, or families. A large number of MSW students stated that anger management techniques work best with minority children. Finally, most of the MSW students reported that they would recommend adding an elective course on anger management to the social work curriculum.
