摘要

This study took place at a predominantly White university in the Midwestern USA with 31 Hmong American seniors as participants. A survey with open-ended questions was conducted to identify themes related to participants' academic success. The findings of this study showed that experiences with institutional involvement, parental support and student engagement played critical roles in Hmong American students' academic success. Experiences with academic resources, student support service programs, attending classes, time management, setting priorities, caring and welcoming campus environment were also found significant in promoting Hmong American students' academic success.
