高依赖、低自我——维多利亚时期英国女性婚姻状况研究

摘要

维多利亚时代被认为是英国工业革命和大英帝国的峰端,这个时期的大英帝国走向了世界之巅，也是英国经济文化的全盛时期。当时的经济繁荣发展，社会却存在大量的问题，如不人道的社会机构、堕落的社会道德、拜金主义的盛行及大面积的贫困与不公。而女性的情感、婚姻生活也深受社会道德风气的约束。
　　本文分析了维多利亚时期女性的婚姻状况，发现其一旦身陷爱情的罗网，落入婚姻的泥沼，就显得有些保守，在社会和男人面前表现出一个维多利亚时代传统女性所具备的温顺和屈服。在维多利亚时代，婚姻在女性一生中是十分重要的，是社会为女性安排的唯一出路。在社会机制的规约下，公共领域的大门向妇女关闭，她们唯一的出路就是迈向狭小的婚姻之门中。作为没有主体的存在，她们在婚姻市场上被父亲“合法买卖”后，又沦为丈夫的附属物。文章通过宗教、道德意识、法律等几个层次的研究，总结维多利亚时期女性在婚姻中作为附属品的原因，概括为一句话，即落后的社会意识。
　　大多数对维多利亚时期女性的研究聚焦于女子的教育和就业，几乎没有研究或分析详细并全面地关注女性的家庭生活。但是婚姻是女性生活中的一个重要组成部分，全面研究维多利亚时代英国女性的婚姻生活有助于更好地理解女性在特殊历史时期的社会地位和生活环境。
　　女性在社会中作为二分之一的存在，需要得到更多的关注和爱护；研究历史，能够使我们更加睿智和机敏。如果把对女性和历史的研究合二为一，能够更加深刻的领会到女性地位的变化和形成，为当代女性地位的提升做出更多的贡献。
