地质文本翻译中的语言特征与翻译策略——以《首次公开募股说明书》中《独立地质报告》英译中为例

摘要

经济全球化进程及全球能源危机，迫使各国在地质，石油及矿藏勘探等领域相互分享信息和技术，使职业化地质翻译需求显现。
　　本文以《首次公开募股说明书》中第八章“独立地质报告”的英中翻译为例，试图探讨在地质翻译过程中出现的问题，并总结相关的地质本文英译中的翻译经验。
　　本文第一章介绍了项目及准备工作。第二章分析了地质文本的语言特征，包括词、句和整个文本。按照翻译项目中的地质类词汇的特征，梳理、总结并分析了名词、非谓语动词、构词法、复合词及缩略词，也研究了地质文本中时态、语态、句型特征及上下文、语言衔接和文本结构。第三章分析了地质文本中的典型词类译法，探讨了简单句、并列句和复合句之间的转化问题，结合本项目中的例证及第二章中阐述的内容，分析了地质文本英译中的文本框架调整策略，在本章末也涉及了其他翻译策略，包括对否定结构及省略句等的翻译。第四章为结论，评估了本翻译项目，指出了翻译过程中发现和出现的问题，并对今后的地质类文本英译中提出了一些参考意见。
　　希望借此探索，能对今后地质文本英译中翻译提供借鉴和参考。
