农村初中英语文化教学现状调查研究——以西安市灞桥区14所农村初级中学为例

摘要

改革开放以来，我国农村初中英语教学质量有了较大的提高。但是，农村初中英语教学的现状与时代的快速发展、人才培养目标的更新还存在显著的差距，特别是在农村初中英语教学中，语言和文化的关系一直未得到足够的重视，部分教师和学生认为只要进行听、说、读、写的训练，掌握了语音、词汇和语法规则就能理解英语和用英语进行交际。事实上，语言和文化密不可分。要教好、学好英语就离不开这种语言的文化背景。基于此，作者选择了“农村初中英语文化教学现状调查”这一话题开展研究。
　　本研究主要目的是为了调查目前农村初中英语文化教学现状，找出存在的问题，以及解决问题的办法，从而进一步提高农村英语教学质量。首先，本文以西安市灞桥区14所农村初级中学的42位初中英语教师和420位初中生为研究对象，通过运用问卷调查法、访谈法和内容分析法等方法搜集资料，对灞桥区农村初中英语文化教学的现状进行了综合分析。分析结果表明农村初中英语文化教学存在的主要问题有:初中英语教师和学生对英语文化教学的认识和重视程度不够、英语教师的英语文化知识有待提高、英语文化教学的方式依旧以传统教师讲授为主、英语考试中很少会涉及对英语文化知识的考核、英语文化教学的内容来源单一和目前教学设备较为落后，不利于开展文化教学。其次，针对调查中发现的问题，从教师、学生、教材、测试等方面进行原因分析。最后，作者针对发现的这些问题，结合文化教学理论，认为应提高教师和学生对文化在语言学习中的重要性的认识，提高教师文化素质，改变传统教学方式，增大文化内容在测试中所占比例，改进教材，改善教学设备等等方面提出有效促进农村初中英语文化教学的策略。总体来讲，语言和文化密不可分，文化是语言教学中的重要组成部分。
　　本文丰富了文化教学的研究，并为将来的研究提供了一个参考，具有一定的研究价值和意义。
