莎士比亚四大悲剧中隐喻翻译的认知研究

摘要

莎士比亚戏剧是人类艺术瑰宝。其中的四大悲剧是莎士比亚的经典之作，吸引了许多汉译者和翻译研究者的目光。部分研究者还对作品中修辞手段的翻译进行了探索。在多种修辞手段中，隐喻在四大剧作中占有重要地位，对理解和鉴赏剧作的艺术价值具有独特意义，因此成为莎剧翻译研究的重点。然而，隐喻翻译的研究在很长一段时间里大都局限在了修辞层面，在认知层面对莎剧中隐喻的翻译缺少系统的专题研究。本论文以莱考夫的概念隐喻理论为理论依据，以朱生豪与方平的汉译本为研究材料，通过两种译本中隐喻翻译的比较，对莎士比亚四大悲剧中隐喻的翻译进行系统的认知分析，探索四大悲剧翻译和鉴赏的新思路。
　　论文主要分为三个部分：第一部分是引言，简述了论文的研究背景、所涉及的问题、研究目的及其意义。第二部分是正文。正文又分为四个章节。第一章是理论背景，重点介绍了莱考夫概念隐喻理论中的基本概念，阐述了论文研究的理论基础。第二章至第四章是论文研究的主体部分，分别对四大悲剧中各类隐喻的翻译进行了系统的认知研究。最后一部分是结论，总结概括了论文的研究成果，主要包括两个方面。一是朱译本侧重于传达源语言本意，较多地使用了意译策略。其译文简洁、直白，而方译本侧重于重现原文中隐喻的修辞效果，更多地使用了直译策略，其译文生动、形象。尽管二者有所不同，它们均对译文读者及隐喻翻译产生了深远影响。二是文化认知对译者翻译策略选择的影响，这在隐喻翻译中作用尤为重要。本论文关于隐喻翻译的研究也为认识英汉文学翻译中的直译与意译、同化与异化、文化共性与差异提供了认知新视角。
