非英语专业大学生英语写作中回避现象的调查研究

摘要

回避(avoidance)是指学习者用外语(或第二语言)说话和写作时，经常避免艰涩的词汇或结构，而选用较简单的词汇或结构。常见的回避现象有：词汇回避、句型回避、语音回避和话题回避等。回避现象是学习者在外语学习过程中存在的一个很重要的语言心理现象，从本质上讲，回避实际是一种交际策略。适当的使用回避策略，可以帮助外语学习者实现交际目的，保持学习渠道畅通，获得更多的可理解输入；但是过度使用回避策略或使用不当，会对学生的外语学习产生负面影响，也可能导致外语学习者中介语的僵化现象。因此，回避现象是外语教学研究中的一个问题，因为回避现象的研究对外语教学具有重要的意义。
　　 本研究的主要理论是交际策略理论，采用Faerch和Kasper的交际策略研究理论(减缩策略和成就策略)和Brown的回避策略分类法(句法回避、词汇回避、话题回避和语音回避)对非英语专业大学生在英语写作过程中的回避现象进行调查研究(语音回避不在本研究范围内)，以此为大学英语写作教学提供参考。
　　 本研究主要采用英文写作、问卷调查和访谈三种最基本的实验工具，以沈阳师范大学100名本科大学二年级学生为研究对象。研究对象通过测试被分为三个组：高级组、中级组和低级组。然后分别对他们进行英文写作、问卷和访谈，实验数据均来自各项研究，通过SPSS对各项数据进行分析。
　　 本研究的重点：1)研究非英语专业大学生在写作中遇到表述困难时常使用哪些回避策略及影响因素；2)为大学英语写作教学提供一些启示。
